I'm going to be a CIT this summer, and...?

Well first, for the kids just pay attention to them. You'll notice some kids will seem left out or upset (missing parents, lonely, etc.) Try to start a conerstation with them. Compliment them or ask them questions but don't over do it. Just enough to get them hooked then let them come to you. Others will probably show off and try to get your attention. Just respond to the kids and do your best. With the other CITs don't try as hard to fit in, just be yourself. There will be a group who will take you. Good luck
