Am I being old fashioned or am I right in thinking this is wrong?

Agree 100% with you. I'm now 23 and have never had sexual experiences with girls and never plan too. I completely respect you and you obviously have a lot of self-respect for yourself for not going around and sleeping with guys unless it is going to mean something to you! It seems to me like your friends are just wanting attention because they don't know how to get it any other way that is moral.
